Super Easy Guacamole to Fight and Prevent Cancer

Why guacamole? Because the main ingredient is the rich, creamy, nutritious and now cancer fighting avocados. Often called the world’s perfect food, avocados are high in fiber and packed with vitamins.

A report published in the journal Seminars in Cancer Biology described the finding of Steven M. D’Ambrosio and his associates at Ohio State University that phytochemicals extracted from the popular Haas avocado were able to destroy oral cancer cells as well as prevent precancerous cells from developing into cancer.

Lime juice- has been found to cause cancer cells to commit suicide in lab studies. The compound hesperitin helps activate a cell signaling process that affects the spread of many kinds of cancer.

Cayenne – contains capsaicin, another important anti-inflammatory. Studies have found that cayenne pepper can slow the growth of prostate cancer cells, and may also have the ability to destroy them, according to a study done at the University of California at Los Angeles School of Medicine.Cilantro contains an antioxidant called quercetin , which attributes to this herbs amazing antioxidant activity. The antioxidant activity in cilantro helps protect against most degenerative diseases including cancer.

Red onion—is another good source of quercetin. It’s also packed with molecules of sulfur, which the liver uses to remove harmful compounds from your body.



2 ripe avocados

1/2 small red onion chopped

1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh cilantro

1/4 tsp fresh minced garlic

pink Himalayan salt (to taste)

cayenne pepper to taste

Juice of 1/2 lime


  • Cut avocado length-wise around. Twist open and remove pit and stem carefully. SPOON out avocado meat completely
  • Place the avocado in a bowl and mash with a fork or spoon until smooth.
  • Add the chopped onion, cilantro, lime , salt and cayenne pepper
  • Mix everything together. Enjoy!
